"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Romans 12:21
Paul gives a counterintuitive strategy: don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. The temptation when evil attacks is to respond in kind. Eye for eye. Fire with fire. But that's how evil wins—by turning you into itself.
This design represents the harder path. The discipline to respond to hatred with love. To answer cruelty with kindness. To defeat darkness not by becoming dark but by shining brighter.
"Overcome evil with good" doesn't mean passivity. It's actually more aggressive than retaliation. It refuses to let evil set the terms of engagement. It fights on different terrain with different weapons.
When you wear this, you're committing to the harder victory. The one that doesn't compromise your soul to win the battle. The one that defeats the enemy without becoming him.
This is how evil actually loses. Not when we destroy it by force, but when we make it irrelevant through good.
