Anchors don't prevent storms. They keep you from being destroyed by them.
Hebrews calls our hope an "anchor for the soul." Not an anchor for circumstances—those will still toss you around. But an anchor for the deepest part of you. The part that can despair. The part that can lose its way.
Jesus is that anchor. When the waves come—and they will—He keeps you from drifting into destruction. When the winds howl, He keeps your soul grounded in something solid. Something that doesn't shift with current or bend with pressure.
