"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace."
Hebrews 12:11
The writer of Hebrews is honest: discipline doesn't feel good. It's not supposed to. The pain is part of the process.
But look at what discipline produces: "a harvest of righteousness and peace." Not just results—righteousness. Not just achievement—peace. The fruit of discipline isn't just external success; it's internal transformation.
This design is a reminder for the hard days. When the alarm goes off and you don't want to move. When the workout hurts and you want to quit. When the right choice is the hard choice and everything in you wants the easy path.
Discipline now. Harvest later. The equation never changes. The man who embraces temporary pain receives eternal gain. The man who demands immediate comfort forfeits lasting fruit.
Which man will you be? The one who submits to the pain that produces? Or the one who avoids the pain and forfeits the harvest?
